CARING FOR YOUR SWIMSUIT

Nylon/elastane and Polyester fabric requires extra special care. We recommend you use a gentle soap to remove all impurities such as body acids, chlorine, salt, perspiration and sunscreens.

Impurities such as sand will break down the fibres if not gently flicked out. Your swimsuit is a delicate garment and should be cared for in the same way as lingerie.

HOW TO WASH YOUR SWIMSUIT

Rinsing in clear water is not enough to remove all impurities. Soap, laundry powder or liquid must be used when washing your swimsuit.

1. Hand wash after every wear in cool, soapy water.

2. Do not soak. Once washed, rinse immediately with cool clear water.

3. Wash separately as the colour may run

4. Do NOT use wool mix, dishwashing detergent or bleaching agents.

5. Dry in shade to minimise fading.

OTHER TIPS TO LOOK AFTER YOUR SWIMSUIT

1. Non-chlorine resistant swimsuits are not recommended for use in a spa, hot tub or sauna*

2. Do not leave wet or rolled up in a towel

3. Do not put in a dryer

4. Once dry, gently flick/ shake out sand from fabric

5. Pay special attention to soaping the elastic on all edges when washing your swimsuit

6. Avoid any rough surfaces such as pool edges or rocks, as no fabric is snag proof

7. Avoid excess contact with sunscreens

*if you require a swimsuit for active swimming at the pool or for use in a spa, hot tub or sauna then choose a 100% Polyester/ Chlorine Resistant swimsuit

BRIGHT COLOURS WARNING

Bright colours will fade and lose colour. Colour may bleed or transfer to clothing when wet, this is normal for bright or fluoro colours.

To minimise colour loss, please follow these instructions, you must do this before you wear your swimsuit for the first time:

1. Soak swimsuit in a bucket of cold water with half a cup of salt, for 30 minutes.

Do not soak longer than 45 minutes. This will help the dye set before you wear it.

2. Rinse, then wring out as much water as possiible.

3. Dry flat, and out of direct sunlight.
